Text

Here is my text photo. Kind of boring, but....this was my birthday present from my parents and I finally got my dad to hang it on the wall!!!!!!

Clone

I used this photo of my niece on the floor with a plate in front of her and some feet behind her in the left hand corner. I removed the plate and the feet. It's not the best job, but it's hard with the lines going a little to the side. I used the feather tool also. How's it look?

Portrait Photo

The fun of trying to take a 2 1/2 year olds portrait! When I asked if I could take his photo, he said no and ran, but I got a couple when he wasn't looking or I got the camera ready and as it was ready I said his name and he looked. Some other days he'd sit there and say "CHEESE"
The first photo is when he said no and shut his eyes.
The second photo is when I had the camera almost ready to shoot and said his name. Not the best portraits! Got to catch kids at a good time of day.

And the lighting on the first one was inside, the second was outside.

Photo Adjustments

For this photo I tried the invert. It inverts the colors. It's pretty neat feature.

Photo Adjustments

First I did auto color enhance, it made the water a lot bluer and the green strip a lot brighter. I think it made it too green, makes it stand out more than it needs to. Next I did stretch contrast, didn't see anything different happen. Than I chose to try posterize. And here is my final product.

I didn't have that great of photos to use for my layering look. I hope to take some better ones to use in the feature. I see there are many neat tools to use. I can't wait!!

The first photo should be last but for some reason when uploading them, it came out first. But it's really the last one that I took, and that was on the ferry ride home, you can see the sun is setting. The other 3 are on the way to NY on the ferry. It was such a beautiful day! Other than the blue lake, all I've seen for landscape is brown.

Framing Slideshow

In this first photo is when I put the photo in the "thirds" line. See how I've now eliminated the house on the far left. And you get more of the background of the mountain.

This second photo is the centered photo. I felt like I got a little lost in the photo.

Composition in Photography

For my "Quick" research, I went to Google, my favorite search site. And typed in composition in photography and I found this site.

http://www.amateursnapper.com/photography/10-top-photography-composition-rules

First sentence: "The only rule in photography is that there are no rules. However, there are many composition guidelines which can be applied in almost any situation, to enhance the impact of a scene. Below are ten of the most popular and most widely respected composition 'rules'."

I loved it! NO RULES! What can be better than that?

Check out the site for :

But NOT really RULES!

Three different lighting photos

This first photo was taken at 9 am, before the sun hits the window.

This photo was taken at 12 pm with the light shining in the window.

This second photo was taken around 2 pm, when the sun starts to move out of the window.

Monochrome color

Here is my monochrome photo. Minus the grass at the bottom.

Analogous color scheme

Here is my analogous color scheme photo. It's a photo of a couch cushion. The lighting in my house is horrible. Believe it or not, the photo was worse with the flash on.

First Photo is with the flash on, it's much brighter, but in some spots it seems blurred. Second photo is without the flash, minus's a lot of the background color.
